CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 85’s off-ramp in northeast Charlotte Thursday morning, according to troopers.

Mycle Bruce, 24, was identified as the driver who died in the collision.

The crash reportedly happened around 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, along the I-85 South off-ramp to Interstate 485 Inner at exit 48.

Troopers said a red Harley-Davidson traveling southwest on the ramp ran off the right side of the roadway, went up the bridge embankment, struck a ditch, and overturned.

Bruce was ejected from the motorcycle and died as a result of the wreck, reports stated.

The road was closed for several hours for a crash investigation.
