OTSEGO COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - Police arrest Maryland, NY resident after attempting to escape a hospital in Cooperstown.

Brook Romano of Maryland, NY was arrested August 4th after attempting to escape from the Bassett Medical Center. The hospital is located in Cooperstown.

According to the Otsego County Sheriff's Office Romano was being treated for an injury at the hospital that was obtained from an arrest of an unrelated incident.

Romano is scheduled to appear at a later date in the Town of Otsego Court.
