Franklin Virtual School has shown growth and success since its inception last school year.

It provides a flexible learning style and strong support for students who succeed outside the classroom.

“Virtual learning is growing,” said Shelbie Murphy, virtual school principal, at the June 9 school board meeting.”We are a platform to support students because sometimes it’s just a better fit. It really depends on the kid and what they need.”

The online school, which began during the 2024-25 school year, offers a virtual learning experience for students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade and is provided with synchronous instruction by certified teachers.

The school had a few goals in mind for the last school year.
