LARGO, Md. — Prince George's County firefighters are investigating a carbon monoxide (CO) exposure that sent three older adults to the hospital Thursday morning. According to investigators, all three people were taken to the hospital in critical condition and two have since died.

Department spokesperson Michael Yourishin told WUSA9 that crews were called to the 9800 block of Berrywood Court in Largo for a medical emergency just before 11 a.m. When firefighters arrived on scene, they removed three people from an end-of-group rowhome. All of them were showing symptoms of carbon monoxide exposure.

"Nobody was really talking, but you know there were just a lot of, a lot of movement over there," Neighbor Troy Speight said. "I didn't see anyone getting taken out or anything."
