SKAMANIA COUNTY, Wash. (KPTV) - A teenager died Wednesday after he fell down an embankment at the Cape Horn Lookout, according to the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office.
Just before 8 p.m., deputies responded to Cape Horn Lookout after a 911 caller reported his 17-year-old brother fell over an embankment. The caller reported he tried to call out to his brother, but did not get a response back.
Multiple search and rescue crews responded to the scene.
The sheriff’s office says the 17-year-old boy was found dead and removed from the steep cliffside. His name has not yet been released.
The death was determined to be accidental.
