Afternoon highs look to climb into the upper 80s

Low-level moisture lingered across the Commonwealth on Thursday, keeping much of Central and Eastern Kentucky mostly cloudy to start the day. A refreshing north breeze kept temperatures in check, with afternoon highs only managing the low to mid-80s. Sunshine did eventually return later in the day as drier air worked its way in, helping us finish on a brighter note.

Friday Shaping Up Nicely

We’ll close out the week on a warm and pleasant note. Friday brings back more sunshine and highs climbing into the upper 80s, just a touch above average for late August.
