It was a strange sight for beachgoers along the Cape Thursday afternoon as a pilot made an emergency landing in Falmouth, Massachusetts.

Falmouth police said no one was hurt when the small plane, which had taken off from Falmouth Airfield, had to make an emergency landing on Black Beach around 2:30 p.m. The aircraft was out of fuel, but there were no other issues reported.

First responders confirmed there was no apparent environmental impact from the landing and no danger to the public.

No other details were immediately available.
