Two Massachusetts schools were among the top 100 best high schools in the country under a new ranking from U.S. News & World Report.

The ranking looked at data from more than 24,000 public high schools in the U.S. for things like performance on state assessments and college preparation.

Of the top 100, only two from all of New England made the cut, and both are in Massachusetts.

Boston Latin School was the highest for Massachusetts, coming in at No. 46 on the national rankings.

Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School in Hadley was the only other local school in the top 100 at No. 96.
