At the end of Dan Campbell’s news conference Thursday, a reporter asked the Detroit Lions coach if safety Kerby Joseph would participate in the joint practice with the Houston Texans later that morning.
“You’ll have to ask him,” Campbell said.
The answer arrived not long thereafter, when Joseph was spotted on the field. Within an hour of returning to action, the All-Pro had already made an impact. During a seven-on-seven period, Joseph jumped in front of star receiver Nico Collins and swiped a pass thrown over the middle by C.J. Stroud.
