The mother of a Texas boy with special needs who disappeared in 2022 was arrested for allegedly killing her child after spending two years on the lam with the rest of her family in India.

Cindy Rodriguez Singh faces a capital murder charge in the death of her 6-year-old son, Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez, FBI Director Kash Patel said on X. 5

After Noel went missing authorities searched the county for him, even demolishing the family’s new concrete porch and digging beneath the home, but no body was ever found.

Singh landed on the FBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list after she absconded to India with her husband and six other children in March 2023. 5

She was first charged in November 2023 , but was never arrested since she wasn’t in the US and hadn’t been extradited from India.
