Admission fees for city recreation facilities will increase seven per cent, and facility rental fees by four per cent, starting Sept. 1.

During the 2024/25 budget deliberations, city council agreed that an increase to admission fees, facility rental rates and cemetery services was necessary to keep up with the rising costs of operations.

When it comes to adult daily admission to recreation facilities, the fee will increase to $10.60 from $9.90 at Collicutt Centre. At G.H. Dawe Community Centre, it will increase to $9.30 from $8.70, and at Michener Aquatic Centre, Recreation Centre, Setters Place, Servus Arena, and Kinsmen Community Arenas it will rise to $6.20 from $5.80.

The cost of the monthly Recreation All Access Pass, for example, will increase to $53.10 from $49.65 for adults. Sen
