DULUTH — Skaters from the Duluth Figure Skating Club brought home more than a dozen medals of various colors from the 2025 Minnesota L'Etoile du Nord Challenge on Aug. 16-17.
The event, in Coon Rapids, is the state's premier figure skating competition.
“From first-time Aspire-level competitors to returning state champions, everyone represented Duluth with speed, precision, and pride. Each medal earned is a testament to their dedication and hard work,” said club director Alyssa Judnick in a news release.
Leading the way were multiple state champions: Madeline Manion was crowned in the senior women's division, Annabelle Strezishar won preliminary girls, while Evan Zhou was the juvenile boys state champion. Ayla Pelland won the 2025 Mini Championship Challenge Juvenile Plus championship, w
