LA CROSSE, Wis. (KTRE) - 3 East Texas anglers took to the water on the Mississippi River in La Crosse, Wisconsin, for day one of the Pro-Guide Batteries Bassmaster Elite on Thursday.
Brookeland’s Dakota Ebare, Longview’s Lee Livesay and Huntington’s Keith Combs were among the 101 anglers on the water Thursday.
Ebare is the highest of the East Texas anglers sitting in 31st place. He caught five fish weighing 14 pounds, seven ounces.
Combs isn’t far behind Ebare, sitting in 39th place. He caught five fish for 13 pounds, 14 ounces.
Livesay, not happy with his day, sits in 85th place. He caught five fish weighing 10 pounds, 13 ounces.
Day two begins at 7 a.m. on Friday, with the top 50 anglers advancing to fish on Saturday.
