A trough stalled across South Alabama this evening, triggering scattered showers and storms. Some could bring heavy rain. After midnight, the storms will fade, leaving lingering clouds and patchy dense fog. Low temperatures will be in the lower to mid-70s.

Friday will have another round of scattered showers and storms as the trough moves north and south across Alabama, along with an upper-level wave moving through the state. Highs will reach the lower 90s.

Weekend Outlook: An upper-level low will traverse the state on Saturday and Sunday, causing isolated showers and storms with a partly cloudy sky. High temperatures are expected to be in the mid to upper 80s.
