ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Roanoke Mayor Joe Cobb spoke to a crowd early Thursday morning for the 2025 State of the City Address.
The speech at the Hotel Roanoke highlighted the city’s successes.
Key points include the city’s creativity and innovation, along with the welcome of new businesses and popular events like the USA Cycling National Championships.
“This is Roanoke. We are creative,” said Mayor Cobb. “We find new ways to inspire and connect and grow. We’re inclusive. We work hard to ensure everyone has a place that they can call home and everyone has a voice. We are tenacious. We aren’t afraid of hard work. We roll up our sleeves. We lift each other up and press forward, even when the path isn’t easy.”
