NBCUniversal is nearing a three-year deal with Major League Baseball worth close to $200 million a year to carry games on NBC and Peacock, Deadline has confirmed, amid a flurry of activity around the MLB .
Negotiations are still ongoing so the number could change but the agreement, if signed and sealed, would include Wild Card Playoff Games and Peacock games on Sunday mornings. It would give the NBC broadcast network a full slate of Sunday sports with Sunday Night Football, Sunday Night Basketball and Sunday Night Baseball. Peacock share of games would come with the streamer doubling down on sports to drive subscriber growth and retention as Comcast prepares to split in half.
