WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Many veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder would rather not talk about their feelings -- or even think about them.

But those feelings are unavoidable when you have PTSD, so one group in Wayne County has a unique plan to help veterans talk and heal.

Gardening amongst the hungry herd of deer at Beech Fork State Park is challenging, to say the least.

Wil Lanigan and Peggy Clagg are veterans with a lifelong mission to help their military brothers and sisters heal the wounds of war.

Their organization, Veterans Helping Veterans - founded by Wil in 1976, is in the early stages of a unique project at Beech Fork - a wildflower pollination project.
