WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — The West Hartford Greater Together Community Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving announced Thursday it has awarded $50,000 in grants to eight local 501(c)(3) nonprofit groups.
The fund said the awards were chosen with the goal of enhancing youth mental health services, building inclusivity, and addressing basic needs of parents, youth, seniors, and historically underserved groups in West Hartford.
The groups receiving grants and the programs they will implement are: • Arts for Learning Connecticut — Express Yourself @ Charter Oak, an arts program for students at Charter Oak International Academy. • CT Volunteers in Psychotherapy — 150 therapy sessions to West Hartford residents, who will then volunteer 600 hours of time to area organization
