'We thought someone had died': Horrifying CCTV shows hatchback wipe out parked cars and lamppost

Horror moment car is ploughed into lamppost and parked vehicles

The owner of a garage whose customer's cars were wiped out by a white hatchback which had smashed into a lamppost and flipped 'thought someone had died' in the horror collision.

Scenes of carnage unfolded on Factory Lane in Blackley on Thursday evening (August 21) after a driver is understood to have struck the kerb before being sent speeding along the pavement and striking multiple parked cars.

Emergency services raced to the incident at around 5.15pm after residents heard a 'loud screech'.

Two people from inside the car were checked over by paramedics at the scene but it's understood they escaped without serious injury.
