LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- Multiple police agencies have established a heavy presence in a Lansing neighborhood near the Capital Region International Airport.
As of around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, more than a dozen vehicles from the Dewitt Police Department, Lansing Police Department, East Lansing Police Department and Michigan State Police were seen in the 3800 block of Wilson Ave., near Waverly Rd.
At this time 6 News has not confirmed the cause of the presence, nor if anyone was injured.
Law enforcement has blocked off nearby roads in the area, and at least one officer was seen wielding an assault rifle. 6 News on the scene reports that police were shining lights on the ground and appeared to be searching for something.
