OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — The nuclear industry in Oak Ridge has been steadily growing over the past few years. Many companies are moving to the area to build nuclear reactors to power the nation, but with so many reactors popping up there has to be a way to fuel them.

TRISO-X , a subsidiary of X-energy, is currently working to create a first-in-the-nation fuel fabrication facility to power reactors across the country.

"We're investing over $900 million and providing this fuel production capability here in East Tennessee," said Jason Hatfield, Vice President & Chief of Staff at TRISO-X.
