KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Knoxville city leaders held a public meeting at Northwest Middle School to answer questions from neighbors about Phase 2 of the Pleasant Ridge Road project on Thursday evening.

About a dozen neighbors attended the meeting. They examined two long diagrams of the 1.25-mile stretch of Pleasant Ridge Road, which construction crews will widen, add designated left turn lanes to, and improve walking accessibility along the route.

Seema Singh, city councilmember for the 3rd District where the project will happen, said she has received complaints from constituents in the area about the need for improvements to the roadway for years.
