A Lancaster County family received shelter and assistance from the American Red Cross after a tree smashed their home Wednesday morning.

The tree fell at 11:44 a.m. hitting the home in the 300 block of Arcadia Trace Road in Fulton Township, according to the Robert Fulton Fire Company .

Fire crews published photos showing the extensive damage from the tree limbs that penetrated the roof and ceiling of the home.

American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist four people who were displaced.

Fire crews said they cleared enough debris away to let the residents back inside the home. They checked the home for electrical hazards or structural damages, but no issues were found.

No injuries were reported.

The scene was clear around 12:15 p.m.
