Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Derrick Harmon will miss a ‘few weeks’ but has avoided a season-ending injury, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac.

Harmon suffered what head coach Mike Tomlin called a ‘knee sprain of some description,’ and he will have an MRI tomorrow in Pittsburgh to determine the severity.

The injury is expected to knock Harmon out for a few weeks, which could put his availability for Week 1 in doubt.

After the interception by Steelers cornerback James Pierre , Harmon hit the ground and walked over the sideline and went into the blue medical tent, according to the broadcast. He later walked onto the cart and was taken to the locker room.
