MADISON, Wis. -- One day, Forward Madison will find that finishing touch and they'll be one of the most dangerous teams in USL League One. Thursday was not that day.

The Mingos couldn't find the net, though not for a lack of trying, as they fell to league-leading Spokane Velocity, 1-0, in front of a crowd of over 3,600 at Breese Stevens Field.

Scoreline aside, the Mingos were the better side Thursday night. They controlled possession -- 59.5%-to-40.5% -- and put plenty of pressure on Spokane's back line with 15 shots, 4 of which were on target. But the ball simply would not fall Madison's way.
