MONROEVILLE, Ala. (WKRG) — Pilots For Christ is there when people are in need, but they need the community's help to keep doing it, a PFC release said.
Pilots for Christ is a nonprofit that was founded in 1994 by a group of Monroeville pilots. It provides free air transportation for patients in need. In order to do that, they must keep the planes maintained, and that comes at a cost.
"From early September, PFC's primary aircraft will be grounded for required maintenance — an essential $50,000 investment to ensure safety and reliability," the release said. But that's not the only expense, as while that aircraft is down, patients still have needs.
