DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) is considering changes after a consulting firm recommended a shift in priorities.

The DECC is a major economic driver for the region bringing in more than $14 million last year .

Officials say the facility welcomes about 500,000 visitors annually and in its almost 60 years of existence, leaders say changes are on the horizon.

Over the past week, DECC leaders traveled across the region from Tettegouche State Park to the Iron Range and back to Duluth to gather input on what the next six decades should look like.

“There’s a wide variety of things that the DECC has done in its nearly 60 years, and good or bad, we only have room for so much, and we only have a budget for so much,” said Executive Director
