SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Savannah State football team continues preparation for the start of the upcoming 2025 campaign later this month.
Head coach Aaron Ketlon tells WSAV, Christian Burks will "probably be" the starter at quarterback for the team's first game of the season. Burks, the redshirt junior from Bremen, Ga., played in eight games last fall. He completed over 54 percent of his passes with three interceptions and two touchdowns.
Kelton saying he has not seen a lot of separation from the other players competing to be the team's top signal caller.
Overall, Kelton has been really impressed with the camaraderie he has seen during the first three weeks of fall camp.
