Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin gave an update on the status of first-round pick Derrick Harmon after he left the team’s final preseason game with a knee injury.

Tomlin said that Harmon has a ‘knee sprain of some description’ and is currently being evaluated. It is unknown how serious that injury is right now, and that severity will be determined with more tests.

After the interception by Steelers cornerback James Pierre , Harmon hit the ground and walked over the sideline and went into the blue medical tent, according to the broadcast. He later walked onto the cart and was taken to the locker room.

Later on in the game, Harmon came out of the Steelers’ locker room in street clothes and walked over to the team bench under his own power. That could be a positive sign.
