This summer, Santa Fe police began sending text messages linking people to online surveys after they made calls for police service.
Several people reached out, wondering if the text messages were part of a scam, Santa Fe police Deputy Chief Ben Valdez said, but the agency has sought to reassure people that the links — sent after certain calls for service are made — are legitimate.
“No, this is us, and we want to hear your feedback,” he said.
