GAYLORD — As August and summer begin to fade, some students will be returning to Otsego County schools as early as next week.

Students at Gaylord St. Mary Cathedral School will return to the classroom first on Monday, Aug. 25, while Johannesburg-Lewiston Area Schools will welcome pupils for the 2025-26 school year on Tuesday, Aug. 26.

On Sept. 2, the following schools will open:

Gaylord Community Schools

Otsego Christian School

Vanderbilt Area School

Preschool at Otsego Christian School will begin Sept. 3 and Sept. 16 at Vanderbilt Area School.
