PELLSTON – When you go 2-7, it looks bad.
But for Pellston football coach Jack Carter , he knows his team was so close to turning some of those narrow losses into victories in 2024.
“They lost to Bellaire on the last play of the game, and lost to Central Lake in overtime,” Carter said. “Their drive is not so much wouldas or couldas, it’s they’re going to do what it takes to get it done.”
As a new season approaches, the motivation is there for the Hornets, who are counting on their experienced players to lead the way in steering the ship back in the right direction.
“I think last year we had two seniors and everyone else was just flat-out young,” Carter said. “This group here – we have four seniors, four juniors, and I think we have six sophomores, which means all those guys have pl
