FAYETTEVILLE -- University of Arkansas Coach Sam Pittman, speaking Thursday at the first Hawgs Illustrated Sports Club lunch of the season, further explained the move of offensive lineman Keyshawn Blackstock to defensive tackle that he first mentioned Wednesday night during his "Sam Pittman Live!" radio program.
"Well, we needed a little more depth in there," Pittman said, in response to a question from moderator Christina Long. "We need some older, bigger guys."
Pittman said the move was to help bolster the position as transfer David Oke heals from a knee issue that might sideline him for a couple of games. Blackstock, a 6-5 320-pounder, started nine games at offensive guard last season.
