FAYETTEVILLE -- Cam Ball was determined to end his college football career the same way he started it: As an Arkansas Razorback.
So when other schools reached out during the winter, offering the big defensive tackle a higher rate of name, image and likeness compensation than his deal with the Razorbacks, Ball said no thanks.
The Atlanta native, now a fifth-year senior for the Razorbacks, was also helping early in the year to tend to his father Charles, who was dealing with the late stages of a bout with cancer that claimed his life June 9.
"I'm a big loyalty guy," Ball said during Arkansas' preseason training camp. "My father and my mother always instilled in me, 'Stay down for the come up,' and it all started with me and my high school."
