A woman whose body was pulled from a reservoir has been named after a major search and rescue operation. ‌

The body was recovered from Strinesdale Reservoir on Sunday. Emergency crews attended Strinesdale Reservoir, situated on the A62 between Oldham and Delph, at around 4pm that day after reports of a woman 'getting into difficulty' in the water. ‌

A rescue operation was launched with the area being sealed off. The fire service's specialist water incident unit was drafted in, reports the Manchester Evening News. ‌

The woman has now been named as Kimberley Johnson , 33, a spokesperson for Rochdale Coroners' Court confirmed.

The body was recovered, at around 6.25pm, Greater Manchester Police confirmed. ‌
