We seem to be stuck in a late summer rut on our local fisheries, waiting for cooler weather to reset the hatch activity and give the trout a reprieve from the heat. The weather pattern seems to be trending a tad cooler, but still be mindful of water temps and release the fish immediately to the water. Fall fishing is just around the corner.

Silver Creek— There are still tricos in the air between 8 and 10 a.m.; however, the spinner fall is brief at best. While tricos are essentially done for the season, the baetis have been strong in the mornings and, depending on your location, you will also see callibaetis duns and spinners in the afternoon.
