Early morning drivers heading to the West Bank through the Crescent City Connection are in for a rough start to their Friday.

A crash had blocked three right lanes on U.S. Route 90B West before General De Gaulle Drive before 6:15 a.m., according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development's X account.

Congestion stretched through the Crescent City Connection and went to Saint. Charles Avenue by 6:40 a.m, according to DOTD. By 6:55 a.m., the center-left lane had reopened and the two right lanes remained closed.

DOTD's 511 traffic map has an alert for a crash that started at 6:13 a.m. Traffic cameras did not show the scene of the crash.
