Steelers receiver Brandon Johnson was in a walking boot in the locker room following Pittsburgh’s preseason win over the Panthers Thursday night.
The former UCF star left the game early in the first quarter with a foot injury. He did not return.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin addressed Johnson’s injury after the game.
“Brandon Johnson’s got a foot injury of some description. He’s also being evaluated,” Tomlin said.
Johnson came up limping after a play that he was not involved in and headed towards the sideline. He started the game for the Steelers with several veterans resting.
Brandon Johnson is in his second season with Pittsburgh after appearing in three games and catching 1 pass for 9 yards in 2024.
