The fifth-year Western quarterback underwent extensive off-season therapy on the right throwing elbow that has dogged him for the past two seasons. If he stays healthy, he is capable of putting up numbers that can lead the Mustangs back to the top of Ontario university football after being dislodged by Wilfrid Laurier last fall.
“It’s probably the best I’ve felt since I’ve been here,” the Hamilton native said ahead of the team’s season opener against Queen’s in Kingston Saturday (3 p.m.). “I’m super excited to get started.”
