Firefighters battled a late-night blaze at a home in a residential neighbourhood in London’s east end.
It was shortly before midnight on Sunday when London Fire Department officials announced on social media that crews were responding to a fire on Arcadia Crescent, which is located northwest of the intersection of Clarke Road and Gore Road.
Officials described it as “a fully involved roof fire” and noted that an aerial truck was used to set up “water tower operations.” The blaze was extinguished “quickly,” they said. Photos and videos from the scene posted to social media show flames shooting out of the roof of a single-family home.
CTV London is reporting that the damage was estimated at $600,000.
