The Red Sox got exactly what they needed in the Bronx, and it came from a 21-year-old rookie making his first appearance at Yankee Stadium. Roman Anthony drilled a two-run shot in the ninth inning and finished with three RBIs, lifting Boston to a 6-3 win over the Yankees on Thursday night.

Anthony had already singled in a run earlier, but his blast off Yerry De Los Santos sealed the deal after Paul Goldschmidt’s error opened the door. Anthony didn’t hide his excitement either, giving a bat flip before circling the bases in front of a stunned New York crowd.
