The University of South Dakota is seeking more than $293.5 million in funding for various projects during the years to come, for everything from scholarships and new buildings to renovations and new programs, according to a booklet shared with the Argus Leader on Aug. 21.

More than $7.1 million of that amount will be needed annually for some of the projects, including scholarships, student leadership development, student business experiences, club sports opportunities and clinical departments.

USD President Sheila Gestring is planning to tour the state the next two weeks to share updates about each project and “funding opportunity” with alumni and donors who could help make the university’s dreams a reality.
