CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Several school campuses were placed on alert while law enforcement investigated a threat to a nearby store in Crossville on Friday morning.
The Crossville Police and Fire departments responded to Dollar General Market at 1259 Miller Avenue, after notes were found in the store threatening to “blow up” the building on Friday.
Bomb squad units were also summoned to the scene to assist in searching the building.

Out of precaution, Crossville PD ordered nearby Glenn Martin Elementary School, Cumberland County High School, and the Phoenix School to go on “soft lockdown.” This was to ensure no students wandered over to the store before it was cleared of any threat, Crossville PD said.
The store
