CADILLAC — A beloved sledding hill in Cadillac is expanding to include a new playground area.

Site work at Diggins Hill continues as they prepare for the new playground and ribbon cutting ceremony set for next Saturday.

The playground will include rope climbing, a variety of swing styles, sensory play panels, a lily-shaped bouncer, and a tower and bridge structure with slides.

Cadillac city manager, Marcus Peccia said the addition of a new playground will make it more of a year round space for recreation.

“It will reactivate a park that otherwise is not used other than in the winter when folks are sledding. So having a playground there. Will, now, you know, create an opportunity for folks certainly within that neighborhood to come out and enjoy but people that are coming from anywhere.
