FOXBORO, Mass. (KTRE) - Former Lufkin Panther Ja’Lynn Polk may miss the entire 2025 season due to a shoulder injury that requires surgery, according to multiple reports.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz says Polk saw multiple specialists, and surgery was determined to be the best course of action. Schultz says Polk is expected to miss the entire season.
ESPN reports Polk could return to the Patriots at some point later in the season, depending on what doctors find in surgery.
Polk was injured in the preseason opener against the Washington Commanders. He was drafted in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft out of the University of Washington. Polk played in 15 games last year, with 12 catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns.
