LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Police are investigating a vandalism at a downtown Lincoln city library.

Around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Lincoln Police officers responded to the report of a vandalism at the Bennett Martin Public Library, located near 14th and N streets.

LPD said someone used blue and black markers to write vulgar language on the cement flower bed in front of the library. The names Penny and Gorgie were also written.

The vandalism caused an estimated $100 in damage, LPD said.

Anyone with information that could help police identify those responsible is asked to call LPD at 402-441-6000.
