Bye bye, Erin! The wind wraps up today as Hurricane Erin moves quickly toward the northern Atlantic.

Much of the afternoon wind has actually been from the departing low and the incoming high pressure out west. The larger the difference, the stronger the winds, and we have had some gusts of 30-40 mph today across the Cape from the north.

The wind turns calm tonight. Watch for minor coastal flooding due to the large waves around the midnight high tide cycle.
