MARSHALL, Texas (KSLA) - A follow-up investigation by Marshall Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division has led to the closure of several burglary cases.
On Aug. 14, MPD responded to a scene where a victim was robbed at gunpoint while trying to sell shoes through Facebook Marketplace. Officers found the juvenile suspect, recovered a firearm and stolen property, then transported the suspect to the Willoughby Detention Center.
Detectives linked the suspect to other crimes, including nine burglaries and two thefts of firearms.
Investigators later identified a second juvenile suspect in connection to the burglaries. Charges for that juvenile are pending.
MPD says they were able to return some of the stolen property to its rightful owners.
