Ernie Beskowiney's miniature railway is chugging for charity.

Beskowiney has dedicated about 20 years to bringing the age of steam back to life in miniature. He has built numerous engines from scratch – both steam and diesel electric – and laid more than three kilometres of track at Train Acres Miniature Railway on his property near Benalto.

Train lovers can take a 30-minute ride around his property at 39014 Range Road 30 for $10 each. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with last rides at 4:30 p.m.
