LEXINGTON, Neb. (KSNB) - A judge put a Lexington woman on probation about a year after her boyfriend was struck and killed by a car she was driving.
Dawson County court records show 43-year-old Vilma Almanza-Siles got three years probation and a 60-day suspended jail sentence for motor vehicle homicide.
Prosecutors dropped more serious charges including DUI and driving without a license in a plea bargain. She was sentenced on Monday.
Court records show than in June 2024 Yuniesky Diaz-Gomez was struck and killed by a car driven by Almanza-Siles in the parking lot of a Lexington apartment complex. Reports indicate the pair had an argument prior to the accident.
